We had an absolutely WONDERFUL vacation in Oregon! We spent the first few days touring Portland and Vancouver, Washington, then finished up with a few lovely days on the Oregon coast. We stayed in the most adorable little beach cottage and loved every minute of it! One of the days there was so much ocean mist and fog that you could barely see the ocean. It was so cool... literally... one day it didn't get above 60 degrees! Our boys were wonderful little traveling companions, despite 12 hours in the car both ways, and it was just nice to get away together. My big boy and I spent many long evenings combing the beaches for treasures. He would get so excited when he spotted a shell or rock. He even carried my tripod and used it as his own "camera" and told me "take pictures like mommy!" (That's why he is packing the tripod, not because I make him be my pack mule!) My little one didn't really love the cold ocean much. He just wanted to be snuggled and didn't really enjoy making sandcastles like his big brother did. Both boys really loved the sea lions sitting on a dock in Newport. They were so loud! I think we all really enjoyed ourselves. We laughed a lot together and made many wonderful memories.
